The Government of Aragon has launched a new scholarship programme under the umbrella of the Aragon brand, Plataforma Logística, through the group of public companies linked to this sector and together with the Zaragoza Logistics Centre (ZLC). The Boards of Directors of the companies Plaza, Platea, Plhus and Expo Zaragoza Empresarial, presided over this week by the Local Government Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment, Marta Gastón, approved the agreements under which a new line of support is created in pursuit of excellence in logistics in Aragon. These agreements will also involve the participation of the Fraga Logistics Platform and will serve to channel public funds to the promotion and dissemination of high-level studies and experience in logistics. The budget to be set for developing this initiative amounts to €70,250, which will serve, among other things, to promote the image of Aragon as a logistics brand and the excellence of its professionals. Within this context, efforts will be focused on sponsoring the Summer Academy in Logistic Supply Chain Management, a high-impact event among logistics managers of large international companies. The event will be held in Zaragoza next year and will bring together experts from the most outstanding companies in the sector, who will present their experiences with the innovations applied in the most notable companies in this part of the business world. Furthermore, the programme managed by the Aragon Public Business Corporation companies linked to logistics covers a total of 10 training scholarships in the ZLC. One of these is to provide 50% finance for a Master’s in Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG), three will be aimed at other Master’s degrees given by the ZLC and others will be focused on specific training for recent graduates and professional development of employees.
